Ann LeSage

 PhD

Bio

Ann is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at Ontario Tech University. Her research explores the interconnections between teaching and learning mathematics from preschool through teacher professional development.

​

Ann has been involved with multiple teaching and learning projects throughout her career. Her current projects include research on pre-service teachers’ mathematical knowledge and teaching efficacy; mobile apps as tools to support and elicit Kindergarten children’s understanding of numeracy; using video podcasts to support flipped classrooms; creating apps to support health eating habits for children; and creating resources to support Early Years Educators' understanding of the Early Development Instrument (EDI) data.

Employment

Prior to arriving at Ontario Tech Univestity in 2006, Ann was an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Education at Nipissing University in North Bay, Ontario from 2002 – 2006. 

Ann also taught overseas in Abu Dhabi, UAE and Cali, Colombia.
